Nagpur airport in Maharashtra has completed runway recarpeting works and was opened for 24-hour operations from April 1, 2025. Airport operations were halted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting April 2024 for runway recarpeting. However, the work was delayed and commenced only in October 2024. With the airport now open for full-fledged operations, an additional flight is planned to Pune. Further, the airport is expected to witness increased activity in May and June, with new routes planned to Jaipur, Indore, Kolhapur and Noida, and additional flights to Kolkata and Bengaluru.
