India and Sri Lanka have signed an MoU to jointly develop a 120 MW solar power project in Sampur, located in Sri Lanka’s Trincomalee district. Additionally, an MoU was signed for the implementation of a high voltage direct current (HVDC) interconnection between India and Sri Lanka to facilitate the import and export of power.
