Adilabad airport receives in-principle approval from IAF

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has given in-principle approval to the Telangana government for the operation of civil aircraft from the Adilabad airfield. The airport is expected to be developed as a joint user airfield, and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) will provide the required land for the development. It has also been recommended that AAI submit a detailed proposal for a no-objection certificate to be issued by the IAF. The development of an airport at Adilabad will prove beneficial given its proximity to Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.
