Gurumaharaj Engicon Private Limited has won a contract worth Rs 608.85 million for laying of pipeline from proposed intake well of IDCO on river Mahanadi at Phulbari to water works site at Gajamara Industrial Estate in Dhenkanal district of Odisha. Bids for the same were invited by the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) in August 2024.
The scope of work includes procurement, supply, laying, jointing of 900 mm diameter ductile iron (DI) S/S pipes for a length of about 22 km with required gaskets along with sluice valves/butterfly valves, air valves, scour valves, zero velocity valves, air cushion valves, steel structure pipe carrying bridges for canal crossings and all required DI. Fittings and specials, MS pipes and fittings including specials as required, laying the pipe line in alignment, providing thrust blocks, valve chambers and required civil works and testing and commissioning of the pipeline.
The work is likely to be completed in 9 months.
