Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation submits DPRs for Vadodara and Rajkot MRTS projects to the centre

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited has submitted the detailed project reports (DPRs) for the Vadodara and Rajkot Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) projects to the union government.

The Vadodara MRTS project spans 40 km and entails investment of Rs 110 billion whereas the Rajkot MRTS spans 38 km and entails investment of Rs 100 billion.

Additionally, the GMRC has also sent the DPRs for extension of Ahmedabad Metro within the GIFT city and Koteshwar-Sardar Vallabbhai Patel International Airport (SVPI) corridor. These projects have been approved by the government of Gujarat. The extension within the GIFT city spans 7 km and entails investment of Rs 23 billion.
