Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has secured a transmission project from PFC Consulting Limited to evacuate 3,000 MW of power for green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing facilities in the Kandla region of Gujarat.
As part of the award, RIL will acquire 100 per cent equity in Kandla GHA Transmission Limited (KGTL) for Rs 200 million, with the acquisition expected to be completed by June 2025. Post-acquisition, KGTL will become a wholly owned subsidiary of RIL.
The project will be developed on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis. RIL will undertake the full scope of work including design, engineering, procurement, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning. The scope also encompasses surveys, detailed project reporting, financing, and obtaining requisite clearances and land compensation.
