GAIL (India) Limited, Gujarat Gas Limited and Baba Deep Singh Green Power have signed a tripartite agreement for compressed biogas (CBG) blending in the city gas distribution (CGD) network under the CBG-CGD Synchronisation Scheme.
As per the agreement, Baba Deep Singh would supply CBG to Gujarat Gas while GAIL would handle its transmission to maintain smooth and continuous supply chain.
The CBG plant would be set up in Qadin village in Gurdaspur district of Punjab with the capacity to produce about 34,000 cubic meters of raw biogas per day.
Besides, CEID Consultants and Engineering has been appointed as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the plant.
