Construction work on Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh to be completed by November 2025

The construction work on the Ganga Four-Lane Expressway Project (Phase I) is likely to be completed by the end of November 2025. Currently, the project has achieved 79 per cent of physical progress.

The project involves the construction of a 593.34 km long four-lane access-controlled expressway (expandable to six lanes) over the Ganga River from Meerut to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 456.65 billion. It will connect Amroha, Bulandshahr, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Farrukhabad, Hardoi, Kannauj, Unnao, Rae Bareli and Pratapgarh to Prayagraj and will have five major bridges, eight rail-over-bridges (RoBs) and 18 flyovers on a public private partnership (PPP) mode.
