Ministry of Rural Development sanctions various road projects under PMGSY-III across states

The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) has sanctioned the construction of various road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-III in Manipur, Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

In Manipur, around 41 roads measuring 280.97 km, with an estimated investment of Rs 2,251.5 million have been sanctioned to the state. Earlier, 56 roads of 502.24 km length with an estimated investment of Rs 4,047.2 million had been sanctioned under PMGSY-III.

In Mizoram, around 7 long span bridges (LSBs) measuring 373.46 m, with an estimated investment of Rs 676.9 million have been sanctioned. Previously, 17 roads of 487.50 km length with an estimated investment of Rs 5,627 million had been sanctioned under the rural development programme.

In Himachal Pradesh, 21 LSBs measuring 970.77 m in length, with an estimated investment of Rs 1,409 million have been sanctioned. Earlier, 299 roads of 3,123.11 km and 43 LSBs with an estimated investment of Rs 33,458.20 million had been sanctioned under PMGSY-III.

Additionally, in Uttarakhand, 9 LSBs measuring 246 m in length, with an estimated investment of Rs 407.7 million have been sanctioned. Earlier, 212 roads of 2,287.95 km and 9 LSBs with an estimated investment of Rs 18,653.40 million had been sanctioned under the programme.
