The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Samir Kumar Sinha as the Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA).
He has taken over the position from Vumlunmang Vualnam, who will serve as the secretary at the Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance.
Sinha served as the Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition) in the Ministry of Defence. He is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1994 batch and is from the Assam cadre.
