The government of Telangana has announced plans to develop a dry port near the regional ring road (RRR) to enhance the state’s logistics infrastructure and support long-term trade growth. Proposed sites for the dry port include Veliminedu in Nalgonda district and Dornakal in Mahbubabad district. The dry port is envisioned as a central hub for exports, imports, and containerised logistics.
This initiative revives earlier plans for a multi-modal logistics park and aligns with broader infrastructure goals like metro expansion and the Musi river rejuvenation.
