Sattva Engineering Construction Private Limited has won a contract worth Rs 1,070.33 million for the development of an underground sewerage scheme (UGSS) in Hosur city of Krishnagiri district on a design, build, operate and transfer (DBOT) basis in Tamil Nadu. Bids for the same were invited by the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD) in February 2024.
The scope of work includes design, build, operate and commissioning of a 12.51 million litres per day (mld) sewage treatment plant (STP) at Santhapuram and a 20.13 mld capacity STP at Ramanaikken with sequential batch reactor (SBR) technology, trial run of six months and operation and maintenance (O&M) for 10 years.
The project is being implemented under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 and is funded by the KfW Development Bank.
