The Ministry of Coal has signed coal mine development and production agreements for two coal blocks under the 11th round of commercial coal mine auctions.
The allocated blocks are Marwatola-II and Namchik West. Singhal Business Private Limited has secured the Marwatola-II block, while PRA Nuravi Coal Mining Private Limited has emerged as the successful bidder for Namchik West. Of these, one is fully explored and the other partially explored. Together, the two mines have a combined peak rated capacity of 0.34 million tonnes per annum and are expected to generate annual revenue of Rs 1.06 billion. They are likely to attract a capital investment of Rs 550 million.
