Passavant Energy and Environment Limited, a subsidiary of Drake and Scull International PJSC has won a contract worth Rs 4,000 million for implementation of a water supply project for the Bidkin Node of the Aurangabad Industrial City (Auric) in Maharashtra. Bids for the same were invited by Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL) in December 2024.
The scope of work includes complete design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of 70 million litres per day (mld) water treatment plant (WTP) at Bidkin, 900 mm dia pipeline to draw water from Jayakwadi Dam in Paithan including ten years of operation and maintenance (O&M).
The work is likely to be completed in three years.
MITL is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) incorporated for the development of the Shendra Bidkin Industrial Area (SBIA), a node which is a part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project.
