The Union Government announced the completion of 100 per cent electrification of Indian Railway’s network in Chhattisgarh on March 30, 2025. The state covers a total broad gauge (BG) network of 1,297 route km (rkm).
Additionally, projects worth Rs 400 billion are currently underway in the state. Moreover, a mainline electric multiple unit (MEMU) train service has been launched in the Abhanpur-Raipur section via Mandir Hasaud.
