The Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, to provide funding of Rs 208.9 million for the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for the hyperloop technology.
This is expected to help in the development of a sub-scale model of the pod, a test track and a vacuum tube facility for the full-scale hyperloop at IIT Madras, for further validation of this technology.
