The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the development of a six-lane, controlled, greenfield, high-speed national highway in Maharashtra. The project will be developed using the build-operate-transfer (BOT) mode and is expected to cost Rs 45 billion.
This new six-lane greenfield corridor project will lead to better port connectivity and help in safe and efficient freight movement between JNPA Port and the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The project will begin at JNPA Port (Pagote) and end at Chowk in Maharashtra, spanning around 29.21 km.
