PRN Infratech wins contract for construction of pumping station on Kushawati River in Goa

PRN Infratech Private Limited has won a contract worth Rs 818.48 million for the construction of a raw water pumping station on the Kushawati River in Goa. Bids for the same were invited by the Water Resources Department, Goa in October 2024.

The scope of work includes the construction of a 60 million litres per day (mld)  raw water pumping station on the Kushawati river at Quepem, strengthening of the SIP canal and upgradation of the Davorlim pumping station to supply uninterrupted raw water to a water treatment plant at Cuelim, IDC’s at Verna, Nessai, Sancoale, Cuncolim, NIT and surrounding areas; supplying, conveying and laying DI pipe rising main for raw water pumping station at Kushawati river from Ch 3.00 km to Ch 11.00 km and strengthening of SIP main canal from Ch 15.6 km to 17.00 km and D2-D3 distributary of SIP canal from Ch 0.00 km to Ch 8.05 km.

The work is likely to be completed in 16 months.
