NTPC Limited has announced the results of its auction for 1.2 GW of wind-solar hybrid power projects, with an additional greenshoe option of up to 600 MW.
EG Solwin Renewable secured 300 MW, Welspun Renewable Energy won 250 MW, NLC India secured 450 MW, and Adani Renewable Energy won 600 MW. The projects were awarded at tariffs of Rs 3.35 per kWh for EG Solwin, Welspun Renewable Energy, and NLC India, while Adani Renewable Energy secured its capacity at Rs 3.36 per kWh. NTPC had issued the tender for this hybrid project in August 2024, and the results were declared within seven months.
