The Vizhinjam International Seaport has received the necessary environmental clearance for its next two phases from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on March 11, 2025.
This approval marks a significant milestone in the port’s expansion, ensuring the timely execution of upcoming infrastructure projects. With this clearance, the port is on track for completion by 2028, reinforcing its position as a major transshipment hub and boosting India’s maritime trade capacity.
