An open access fuel farm and aircraft fuelling facility was recently commissioned at the Jaipur International Airport at Rajasthan.
The fuel farm would avoid duplication of infrastructure and equipment, and provide economies of scale. With the facility, barriers for entry for new oil marketers are lowered, and airlines would have more choice for fuel suppliers. Airlines would also benefit from the lower time required to refuel aircraft, reduced turnaround time, and enhanced efficiency.
Further, a greenfield jet fuel storage facility will also be commissioned at the airside soon.
