Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has been declared the successful bidder for establishing an inter-state transmission system (ISTS) project naming “Transmission System Strengthening at Kurnool-III PS for integration of additional RE Generation Projects,” under the tariff-based competitive bidding process on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.
The project involves augmentation of transformation capacity at the existing Kurnool-III substation and extension works at the C’peta substation. The project also includes the construction of a 765 kV double-circuit transmission line.
