As of February 11, 2025, 272 projects have been completed under the Sagarmala programme at an investment of about Rs 1.41 trillion. Overall, around 839 projects at an estimated cost of Rs 5.5 trillion have been identified for implementation under the programme. These projects are being implemented by various central ministries, state governments and major ports. Regular interactions with stakeholders and the establishment of committees ensure timely execution and coordination. The programme focuses on economic and infrastructural development, enhancing India’s maritime trade capabilities and strengthening its position in regional waters.
