The Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, will manufacture 320 Vande Bharat 2.0 train coaches under IR’s production programme. These coaches will be an advanced version of the existing Vande Bharat coaches. The trains will weigh 392 tonnes and feature four emergency windows per coach, Level-2 safety integration certification, an aerosol-based fire detection and suppression system, among other features.
