NHPC announces results for 1,200 MW solar plus storage auction

NHPC Limited has announced the results of its auction for 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected solar power projects with an energy storage system component. Onix Renewable, Jindal India Renewable Energy, NTPCREL and Kolar Solar Power (Rays Power Infra) secured capacities of 100 MW, 180 MW, 300 MW and 150 MW, respectively, at a tariff of Rs 3.09 per kWh. ReNew Solar Power and Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine (Adani Green Energy Limited) were awarded 300 MW and 170 MW, respectively, at Rs 3.10 per kWh.

THDC India Limited has announced the commercial operation date for Unit 1, a 660 MW capacity, at the Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant, Stage I (2×660 MW). The project is set to supply electricity to Uttar Pradesh (64.7 per cent), Rajasthan (21.3 per cent), Uttarakhand (3.9 per cent) and unallocated regions (10.1 per cent). Additionally, the plant integrates a flue gas desulphurisation system to control emissions, contributing to improved air quality.
