The Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, has signed an MoU with Bapu’s Shipping (Jamnagar) Private Limited (BSJPL) to provide bunker barge services for biomethanol bunkering at Kandla port. The agreement aligns with the government’s vision of developing green ports and promoting sustainable maritime transport. With the growing global emphasis on reducing carbon footprints and advancing green energy, the launch of biomethanol bunkering services at Kandla port marks a progressive step. As a cleaner alternative fuel, biomethanol significantly lowers emissions, promoting more sustainable and eco-friendly shipping practices.
