On March 3, 2025, the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority in Tuticorin has formally inaugurated berth-7 as its own berth. The berth was previously managed by PSA SICAL Terminal Limited.
With an exclusive approach road, 370 metres quay length, 11.70 metres draft, and ample storage area of 100,000 square metres, the berth will facilitate the port users to handle multipurpose cargo.
