Indian Railways (IR) has planned to construct the longest hyperloop test track in India, with a length of 40 to 50 km. Reportedly, the cost to build this track may range between $ 150-300 million. This project will help assess the feasibility of the hyperloop for commercial operations.
Moreover, IR will provide a third grant of $ 1 million to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras for further development of the hyperloop project.
