The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has conducted inspections on the Motijheel-Kanpur Central stretch under the Kanpur metro rail project phase I. During the inspection, CMRS examined the elevated ramp between Motijheel and Chunniganj and later proceeded with the inspections on the tunnel and stations between Chunniganj and Kanpur Central.
The Kanpur metro project involves development of a 33 km long metro rail system in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 110.76 billion.
