Indian Railways (IR) has sanctioned six new Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals (GCTs) in Assam to enhance industrial trade and development in the region. These terminals will be developed at Chaygaon, New Bongaigaon, Bihara, Hilara, Baihata, and Rangjuli.
Besides, two GCTs at Moinarband and Cinnamara have already been commissioned.
