The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) has conducted a safety inspection on the 21 km long Sant Hirdaram Nagar-Jarkheda section of the Ramganj Mandi-Bhopal New Line Project. Besides, speed trials were conducted on the stretch at the speed of 120 kmph.
The project involves development of a 276.5 km long new rail line between Ramganj Mandi and Bhopal in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, respectively with an investment of Rs 30.32 billion. It will connect Rajasthan to Madhya Pradesh via several major cities namely, Kota, Ramganjmandi, Jhalawar, Aklera, Khilchipur, Rajgarh, Biaora, Narsinghgarh, and Bhopal.
