Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board plans to implement Arkavati River Rejuvenation Project in Karnataka

The Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is planning to undertake the Arkavati River Rejuvenation Project in Karnataka. BWSSB has approved the conceptual plan and a survey is likely to be conducted soon.

The project aims to restore the river from Nandi Hills to the TG Halli reservoir, covering approximately 53 km. For this, sewage pipelines, treatment plants for both domestic and industrial effluents, water harvesting and other related infrastructure will be developed on a public-private partnership basis.
