95 per cent progress achieved on tunnelling for Kalena Agrahara-Nagawara stretch under Bengaluru metro project phase II

About 95 per cent progress has been achieved on the tunnelling work for Kalena Agrahara-Nagawara stretch under the Bengaluru metro project phase II. The 21 km corridor has a tunnel spanning 13.8 km from Dairy Circle to Nagawara.

Besides, work on traction, signalling and telecommunication, electrical, tunnel ventilation system, air conditioning, signage etc. are likely to commence soon on the stretch.

The project involves construction of four extensions and two new lines covering a length of 72.09 km (13.79 km underground and 58.3 km elevated), in Karnataka at an investment of Rs 306.95 billion.
