Northeast Frontier Railway to complete final location survey works of two rail projects in Assam by December 2025 

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is expected to complete the final location survey (FLS) for the Moinarband-Chandranathpur New Rail Line Project and Gogamukh-Dhakuakhana-Kamalabari-Garmur-Jorhat New Rail Line Project by December 2025.

Moinarband-Chandranathpur New Rail Line Project involves laying a new 149.3 km long rail line from Moinarband to Chandranathpur in Assam.

Gogamukh-Dhakuakhana-Kamalabari-Garmur-Jorhat New Rail Line Project involves laying a 86 km new line from Gogamukh to Jorhat in Assam.

Besides, the survey report for Harmuti-Majuli via Bihpuria New Rail Line Project has already been completed and sent to the Railway Board (RB). Harmuti-Majuli via Bihpuria New Rail Line Project involves laying a 38 km new line from Harmuti to Majuli in Assam.
