Kempegowda International Airport at Bengaluru introduces Aerial View Display System

The Kempegowda International Airport at Bengaluru has launched India’s first Aerial View Display (AVD) system.

The system provides a real-time visualisation of all airside operations on a unified dashboard at the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC). It tracks flights using their assigned numbers in place of the ATC call signs. The system features real-time monitoring, ground vehicle tracking, emergency alerts, and provides data-driven insights. It also tracks parameters including aircraft taxiing speed and runway occupancy time. The efficiency and capacity of airside operations would also be improved through faster and data-driven decision making, in turn leading to lower emissions and enhanced sustainability standards.

The introduction of the AVD system marks a notable boost in the airport’s operational efficiency and safety for airside activities.
