Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has achieved cumulative freight loading of 8.67 million tonnes (mt) during 2024-25 (till January 2025), an increase of 3.8 per cent over corresponding period of the last year. This includes 0.94 mt of freight loading registered in January 2025.
Besides, commodity-wise, NFR recorded an increase of 67.9 per cent in cement, 28.6 per cent in fertilisers, 31.3 per cent in ballast loading, and 4.4 per cent in petroleum oil and lubricants (POL) loading, among others.
