Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) achieved an average of 391 train operations per day in January 2025. This includes an average of 209 trains per day on the Eastern DFC (EDFC) and 182 trains per day on the Western DFC (WDFC).
Further, DFC diverted 100 per cent of freight traffic from the East Central Railway (ECR) and North Central Railway (NCR) to the EDFC, facilitating the decongestion of the Prayagraj division, which is currently experiencing high traffic due to the Maha-Kumbh.
