RITES to prepare DPR for connecting Patna Junction and Patna Airport under Patna metro project

RITES Limited is likely to prepare the detailed project report (DPR) for connecting the Patna Junction Railway station and Patna International Airport under the Patna metro rail project. The report is likely to be completed by April 2025.

Besides, about 80 per cent progress has been achieved on the priority corridor [Malahi Pakri- interstate bus terminal (ISBT)] and 85 per cent on Ramchak Bairiya depot under the project.

Phase I of the project involves the development of a 32.5 km long metro rail network in Patna at an estimated cost of Rs 139.25 billion. It involves the development of two corridors, viz. corridor 1 (Danapur Cantonment-Mithapur) and corridor 2 (Patna Junction-Patna ISBT).
