State approves construction of four new underpasses under Sardar Patel Ring Road Six Laning Project in Gujarat

The Government of Gujarat has approved the construction of four new underpasses under the Sardar Patel Ring Road Six Laning Project. Three out of the four underpasses are likely to come up at Aslali, Chiloda and Bhat junctions. The fourth one is yet to be decided. The detailed project report (DPR) for the underpasses has been approved by the state including the reconstruction of ageing bridges over the Sabarmati at Bhat and Komod and junction improvements on the stretch. The DPR also includes a survey of all junctions, with suggestions for new flyovers. The project involves the upgradation of a 76 km long stretch of SP Ring Road to six lanes. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 22 billion.
