Larsen and Toubro casts first pile cap for package AGCC-07 under Agra metro project

Larsen and Toubro Limited (L&T) has casted their first pile cap at Agra Cantonment for package AGCC-07 under the Agra metro project phase I. The company will cast 761 piers to build the viaduct for the package.

Package AGCC-07 involves design and construction of main line elevated viaduct from Agra Cantonment metro station to Kalindi Vihar metro station [(Ch) 77 metres to 15,016 metres] including viaduct connection with ramp [(Ch) 0.00 metres to 2,610 metres] from (nearby) Sadar Bazar metro station to existing corridor 1 depot at PAC ground and corridor 2 depot entry/ exit lines viaduct with ramp [(Ch) 0.00 metres to 530 metres]. It covers 14 elevated stations (Agra Cantonment, Sadar Bazar, Pratap Pura, Collectorate, Agra College, Hariparvat Chauraha, Sanjay Place, M.G. Road, Sultanganj crossing, Kamla Nagar, Ram Bagh, Foundary Nagar, Agra Mandi and Kalindi Vihar metro stations) including civil, associated ancillary structures, architectural finishes, water supply, sanitary installation, drainage, external development, fire-fighting, fire detection, electrical and mechanical (E&M) works and pre-engineered building (PEB) structures under corridor 2 of the project. The package was awarded in November 2024.

The Agra metro project involves development of 30 km long metro rail system in the city at an investment of Rs 83.79 billion.
