JSW Energy has acquired KSK Mahanadi Power Company for Rs 159.85 billion. KSK Mahanadi entered into a corporate insolvency resolution process in 2020 after defaulting on around Rs 293.3 billion in debt repayments. Other bidders for KSK Mahanadi were Adani Power Limited and NTPC Limited. The acquired company has a total capacity of 3,600 MW, half of which is currently operational and remaining under construction.
