Ministry of Railways approves funds for four rail projects in Bihar 

The Ministry of Railways has approved funds for four rail projects in Bihar. These are:

  • Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga New Railway Line Project involves laying of a 67.4 km long new railway line between Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga in Bihar entailing an investment of Rs 25.14 billion.
  • Bhagalpur-Jamalpur Third Rail Line Project involves construction of a 53 km long third rail line between Bhagalpur and Jamalpur in Bihar at an estimated cost of Rs 10.94 billion.
  • Gaya-Daltonganj New Line Project involves development of a 136.88 km long new railway line at an estimated cost of Rs 4.26 billion to connect Gaya in Bihar and Daltonganj via Rafiganj in Jharkhand.
  • Chiraila-Bagahabishunpur Bypass Rail Line Project involves laying a new 10 km line between Chiraila-Pauthu and Bagahabishunpur to bypass Son Nagar station in Bihar.
