Suzlon Energy Limited and Torrent Power Limited have achieved a significant milestone by powering 1 GW of wind energy in India with a new 486 MW hybrid project in Gujarat’s Bhogat region.
Suzlon will supply 162 advanced S144 wind turbine generators with hybrid lattice towers, each with a rated capacity of 3 MW. The energy generated from this project will contribute to India’s goal of achieving 50 per cent of its electricity from renewable sources, supporting sustainability and the transition to green energy.
