Universal MEP Projects and Engineering Services Limited has won a contract worth Rs 1,892.67 million for completion of the 24×7 water supply schemes in selected wards of Lucknow, Raebareli, Unnao, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lakhimpur, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Banda, Kanpur, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Pilibhit, Bandau, Shahjahanpur and Bareilly towns of Uttar Pradesh under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 (AMRUT 2.0). Bids for the same were invited by the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam in August 2024.
The scope of work includes survey, soil investigation, design, supply of all materials, labour etc. required for construction, erection, completion, testing and commissioning of water supply works such as reinforced cement concrete, overhead tanks (OHTs), pumping station, rising main, feeder main, distribution system, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) room, chlorination room, meter room, panel room, staff quarter, boundary wall & site development works etc. and other appurtenant works including three months trial run and two years operation and maintenance.
The work is likely to be completed in 18 months.
