The Jaipur International Airport commissioned a parallel taxiway spanning 3,065 metres by extending the existing 2,300-metre parallel taxiway with the inauguration of the additional 765-metre stretch on January 23, 2025.
The 2,300-metre parallel taxiway was commissioned in 2023 as part of Phase I of the development, with the newly inaugurated stretch a part of the final phase.
The new taxiway features multiple entry and exit points, state-of-the-art lighting systems, and facilitates simultaneous aircraft movement. The move is expected to enhance the operational efficiency and safety at the airport. It would also enable the airport to handle more flight operations.
