Shah Technical Consultants Private Limited has won a contract worth Rs 19.51 million for preparation of detailed project report (DPR) for the rehabilitation and modification of the Kilpauk water treatment plant (WTP) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Bids for the same were invited by the Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Limited (TNUIFSL) in August 2024.
The scope of work includes preparation of DPR, process designs, detailed estimates and bid documents for Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board for rehabilitation and modification works to the existing 270 million litres per day (mld) Kilpauk WTP.
The scope of the project includes rehabilitation and modification of the 110-year old Kilapuk WTP to increase its capacity to 270 mld from the current 250 mld.
