Sarai Kale Khan station under the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut regional rapid transit system (RRTS) project is likely to be completed by June 2025. Besides, track laying works on upline and downline of the New Ashok Nagar-Sarai Kale Khan stretch is underway and about 10 km has been completed.
At present, about 55 km of the 82 km project is now operational. The project involves development of 82.15 km RRTS connecting the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh with an investment of Rs 302.74 billion.
