Greater Chennai Corporation sanctions funds for development of stormwater drainage in uncovered areas of Chennai

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has sanctioned funds worth Rs 2,000 million for development of stormwater drainage (SWD) in uncovered areas of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The work is likely to commence from February 2025. The scope of project includes development of SWD network of 50 km cumulative length in areas of Mylapore, Luz, Royapettah, Triplicane, Tondiarpet, Royapuram, Korukkupet and Perambur.

Additionally, Rs 250 million have been allocated under the North Chennai Development Scheme.
