East Coast Railway achieves freight loading of 200.13 mt during 2024-25 (till January 15, 2025) 

East Coast Railway (ECoR) has achieved a cumulative freight loading of 200.13 million tonnes (mt) during 2024-25 (till January 15, 2025), an increase of 1.6 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous year. Commodity-wise, the zone registered freight loading of 119.63 mt in coal, 24.42 mt in iron ore, 17.15 in other goods, 15.99 mt in pig iron and finished steel, 7.67 mt in raw materials for steel plants, 2.22 mt in foodgrains, among others.

Besides, ECoR generated cumulative revenue of Rs 202.88 billion during this period, which is 1.28 per cent higher than the same period of the previous year, and unloaded 183.5 mt of freight.
