The Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TPP) was inaugurated at seven airports including Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Ahmedabad on January 16, 2024.
The programme was initially launched at Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi in June 2024. The facility, initially launched free of cost for Indian citizens and OCI card holders, is an important initiative under the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision, and aims for the provision of world-class immigration facilities.
Passengers who have registered through the online portal can make use of the e-gate facility by scanning the boarding pass and passport, and authenticating biometrics.
As per plans, the facility is targeted to be implemented at 21 major airports.
